Swath Control Pro™
Swath Control Pro is a new system that controls boom
sections in the 4720 and 4920 Self Propelled
Sprayers. Swath Control Pro utilizes Global
Positioning System to turn boom sections on and off
automatically, according to a coverage map where the
operator and machine have previously applied product
or created an internal or external boundaries that
is not to be sprayed. This will take operators of
the 4720 or 4920 to the next level of spraying
productivity. Each GS2 display comes with a 15 hour
demo.
Common Components to Operate Swath Control Pro:
Compatible sprayer (4710, 4720, 4920, 4930, 4700 or
GS2 Rate Controller compatible StarFire Receiver or
third party GPS receiver GreenStar 2 (GS2) Swath
Control Pro activation code Update to the sprayer
control unit from Service Advisor
Operators have the ability to choose between two
setup types
to gain maximum efficiency with their
operation.
Minimizing skips ensures product coverage extends
over field boundaries, over interior boundaries and
into as-applied areas only; this reduces skips in
the field Minimizing overlaps ensures product
coverage does not extend over field boundaries or
into areas defined by interior boundaries. This
setting may cause skips along a field boundary or
interior boundaries depending up the angle at which
the boundary is crossed
